Students want the best bills package for them, but most utility providers don’t focus on how they can deliver services to meet student’s unique needs. We recognise that students want, clear and simple billing, no hidden fees and very transparent bills. Students don’t want to get tied in to long and expensive contracts, but want flexibility. Students especially don’t want to end up spending ages on the phone trying to sort out accounts with customer service, and they really don’t want to feel like they’re being taken for a ride with extortionate bills. This is what makes Huru different. We have thought hard about how to make buying and managing utility bills really simple for students.

Dealing with stress and anxiety as a student?

There are a lot of pressures on students today, and many struggle with stress and anxiety. Moving away from home, living in a new city, sharing a house with new people, splitting bills and dealing with student debt, cramming for exams, trying to make new friends, the causes of stress and anxiety can seem endless. In fact, a survey by the National Union of Students (NUS) in December found that 78% of students had experienced mental health issues in 2015. Thankfully, there is a growing understanding of the mental health pressures that students face and a growing number of resources to help.
